Georgia’s New Breed ‘19 signing class adds another five star prospect.

Please Kirby, don’t hurt ‘em.

Last night I mentioned that the commitment of 2019 Blessed Trinity linebacker J.D Bertrand might be a harbinger of things to come for some other highly-touted prospects with whom he is close.

Well, that didn’t take long. This afternoon Georgia secured yet another big recruiting win with the commitment of Walton High wide receiver Dominick Blaylock. Blaylock chose the Bulldogs over a host of other elite programs. Alabama, Auburn, Florida, FSU, Ohio State, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Miami are just a few of the 20+ schools vying for Blaylock’s signature.

That kind of offer list this early in the recruiting process is a pretty solid indicator of a special player. And so it is with Blaylock.

The son of former Atlanta Hawk M-m-m-mookie! Blaylock, the younger Blaylock is a silky smooth route runner with phenomenal hands. He also sports deceptive speed and great vision in the open field. Blaylock is a playmaker who can take the ball to the house on any play. The Georgia Bulldogs need a whole lot of that.

Here at Dawg Sports we celebrate every UGA commitment. But this one is undeniably a really big deal. Blaylock’s pledge gives Georgia the top two receivers in the nation for 2019, an embarrassment of skill position riches. Given the Bulldogs’ struggles to land top receiver talent during the last few recruiting cycles, that’s amazing. Until later...
