Mark Fox has filled the opening on his staff with a familiar face. David Carter, who was with Fox previously at Nevada and replaced the Georgia head man when he came to Athens at the top of the Wolfpack, will rejoin his old boss.
Carter, from Los Angeles, California, has coached and played almost exclusively on the west coast in his career, most recently with St. Mary’s. Carter was on the bench for the Gaels when they ended the Dawgs’ season in the spring of 2016 in the NIT.
St. Mary’s has been noted for their excellent offensive execution, which was an area of significant needed improvement for Georgia. The former collegiate PG should help with backcourt duties on the floor, in addition to recruiting efforts.
