Georgia will open the 2017 college football season on September 2, 2017 in Sanford Stadium against Appalachian State. That's only 72 days away.

In honor of this auspicious occasion we’ve christened today “Dan Inman Day” at Dawg Sports. Not because he was the best offensive lineman in Bulldog history to wear #72. Or the biggest. But because he was the most likely to rip an opponent’s arm off and beat him with it.

And darn it, that means something. Did Big Dan occasionally draw an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty at an inopportune time? Sure. But he did it with feeling, man. And I can respect that. Until later....
