Sunday U.S. Open Thread: Thomas charging, but Harman still leads.

Justin Thomas shot a historic nine under par round of 63 on Saturday, but still finds himself one shot behind UGA alum Brian Harman headed into the final day of the US Open at Erin Hills in Wisconsin.

Harman’s own round of 67 puts him in position to contend for his first major tournament title. Harman and Thomas will tee off as the final group around 3:29 eastern this afternoon.

Fellow ‘Dawg Russell Henley quietly shot a bogey-free 67 to move to eight under and a tie for seventh four shots off the lead. Henley will take to the course at 3:21 pm with former Bulldog golfer/Augusta State alum Patrick Reed.

In defiance of my Friday prognostication, the course has continued to play fairly forgiving. With thirteen golfers within five shots of the lead, including several who've shown a penchant for low scores when they get hot, a wild finish may be in store on this Father’s Day.

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
