We interrupt your impending holiday weekend for a special announcement. It has been over 18 months since Southern University football player Devon Gales was paralyzed during a game at Sanford Stadium when he collided with UGA kicker Marshall Morgan. Since that time Bulldog Nation has embraced Devon and his family in a manner that should make all of us proud.
And Devon has tackled his recovery with the ferocity of an All-American linebacker. Yesterday, he posted something on Twitter that should make us all proud of him.

The spirit this young man has shown in battling back from a situation in which many would have deemed insurmountable should give you hope. It should also serve as a reminder that in life as in football you don't really lose until you stop fighting. Get after it, Devon. You're a Damn Good ‘Dawg in our book.
