G-Day rosters revealed: Black or Red?

NCAA Football: Georgia Spring Game Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

G Day comes tomorrow, and while we won’t have Ludacris and 100k+ in town, there should be some festivities, like a Letterman game starting at 11:30 including Tim Jennings. I feel bad for whoever among the other 59 has to try to take a flag off the 5’8 (haha) 2 time former All-Pro and member of the signing class of 2002.

As far as who will be on the field come the 2:00 kickoff, well...

With just two scholarship QBs, coach Kirby Smart will be a bit creative for his signal callers as Sam Vaughn will work with both, but otherwise it appears to be #1 O/#2 D in Black vs. #1 D/#2 O in Red.

So if you want to wear Red, remember to wear khakis in support of Jake from State Fromm. The freshman from Warner Robins will be protected by Ben Cleveland and Demarcus Hayes at OT, with Elijah Holyfield, Mecole Hardman, Tyler Simmons, and others to feed for big plays. Dominick Sanders and Malkom Parrish can feel free to pick passes, but Natrez Patrick, Davin Bellamy, Lorenzo Carter, and others better remember to not hit Jacob Eason too hard on the pass rush.

Then again, Eason may save his arm for another day with Nick Chubb and Sony Michel behind him in Black. It seems the starting OL, for now, runs from LT to RT - Isaiah Wynn, Pat Allen, Lamont Gaillard, Solomon Kindley, Dyshon Sims, although the competition for each spot will intensify over the summer. When they do give Eason the chance to sling it, he’ll have Isaac Nauta and Terry Godwin, among others on the receiving end. Defensively, it’ll be the first chance for fans to get a look at freshmen like LB Monty Rice and DBs Richard LeCounte and DeAngelo Gibbs. DL Julian Rochester and David Marshall, along with LB D’Andre Walker, will provide experience to their front seven.

So Dawgs fans, who do you think will win, Red or Black?
