Let me take a brief moment this morning to wish each and every one of you a joyous, peaceful Christmas. It is a day to count one’s blessings. And let’s face it: there are no college football fans seemingly more blessed right now than those who bleed red & black.
I think I speak for the entire staff when I say we’re pleased as punch that you’re here for it, especially those of you who were also here for third and Willie, third and Grantham, the five yard line of the Georgia Dome, double secret drop back passer Faton Bauta, and a dozen other mishaps, misfortunes, and indignities. We hope y’all are enjoying everything surrounding your Georgia Bulldogs right now. And we’re grateful you’re here to share it with us.
Personally, I’m grateful for the hard-working, level-headed, dyed in the wool ‘Dawg fans who make up the staff here at Dawg Sports. The last thing most of us want to do after a tough Bulldog loss is talk about it. These great folks have been talking us through, around, and over tough losses for as many as eleven seasons now. I can’t tell you how much enjoyment I get from watching them savor the good times.
So enjoy your eggnog, unwrap a present or two, and give your spouse’s cousin who went to Tech or Auburn or Florida twice the crap you feel like you should (which is half as much as he or she probably deserves).
This is your Christmas day getting away from the in-laws open thread. Merry Christmas, y’all. And...
Go ‘Dawgs!!!
