It’s the most glorious weekend of the college football season. It’s Rivalry Week! We’ve got Iron Bowls, Egg Bowls, Apple Cups... essentially all kinds of exciting dinnerware. There are no shortage of games with pretty serious implications this week. We also get a pretty special Friday slate. So let’s get to it:
WEEK 13 COLLEGE FOOTBALL TV SCHEDULE >>> TV SCHEDULE WEEK 13.pdf
And now your prime viewing options in each time slot:
THURSDAY
Ole Miss Rebels @ #16 Mississippi St. Bulldogs, 7:30, ESPN
Given the existing evidence, this ought to be an out-and-out beatdown. But as we are all too aware, strange things can happen in rivalry games — particularly in-state rivalry games. So when you start emerging from your turkey-induced coma, flip on over to the four letter network and enjoy.
FRIDAY
It’s not your usual Friday. In fact, it’s essentially your pre-gameday gameday with a full slate of games from just before noon until late into the night. Here are some of the choicest cuts:
Baylor Bears @ #10 TCU Horned Frogs, 12:00, FS1
#2 Miami Hurricanes @ Pittsburgh Panthers, 12:00, ABC
Missouri Tigers @ Arkansas Razorbacks, 2:30, CBS (Yikes!)
#22 South Florida Bulls @ #13 UCF Knights, 3:30, ABC
#24 Virginia Tech Hokies @ Virginia Cavaliers, 8:00, ESPN
California Golden Bears @ UCLA Bruins, 10:30, FS1 (All bears, all the time!)
SATURDAY NOON
#7 Georgia Bulldogs @ Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 12:00, ABC
Nick Chubb is coming. And he’s bringing hell with him!
SATURDAY AFTERNOON
#1 Alabama Crimson Tide @ #6 Auburn Tigers, 3:30, CBS
It’s time to find out who Georgia will be playing in the SECCG. I have my reasons for wanting each team to make their way to Mercedes Benz Stadium, but one thing I can say with certainty is that it won’t be boring.
SATURDAY EVENING
#9 Notre Dame Fighting Irish @ #20 Stanford Cardinal, 8:00, ABC
I’m glad Georgia went to South Bend and beat the Irish. I really enjoyed that. But the fact that I keep having to hope Notre Dame wins these games is deeply unsettling. I don’t like it one bit.
SATURDAY LATE
Colorado Buffaloes @ Utah Utes, 10:00, FS1
As always, we have PAC-12 After Dark action.
That’s it for now folks. Until next time...
GOOOO DAWGS!!!
