Around the SEC

NCAA Football: Kentucky at Georgia Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The Dawgs head into rivalry week with Tech after a solid bounce-back win against Kentucky 42-13. Let’s see what all is going on in the SEC this final regular season week.

Here is what’s happening around the SEC:

  • Rumors are swirling that Chip Kelly will become Florida’s new head coach. I’m sure this whole process won’t take any further turns either.
  • Backup Texas A&M QB Hank Hughes has announced he will transfer to Ball State, continuing the time-honored tradition of Aggie quarterbacks transferring.
  • We return to silly season news: there are several Gus Malzahn-to-Arkansas rumors heating up. The timing is great for this, as Auburn doesn’t really need laser focused attention before this week’s game, and potentially next week’s too.
  • Finally, we have a coach who has righted the ship and is receiving praise. Missouri coach Barry Odom has garnered a lot of positive attention after seeing his Tigers become bowl eligible after a horrendous start to the season.

Until next time… GO DAWGS!!!
