There are quite a few games I find interesting this weekend. Yet, oddly very few of them have any major implications (outside the possibility of a team upsetting someone they have no business beating -- I’m looking at you Virginia and MIami). But that doesn’t mean we won’t have a good time anyway. So here we go:
WEEK 12 COLLEGE FOOTBALL TV SCHEDULE >>> TV SCHEDULE WEEK 12.pdf
And now your prime viewing options in each time slot:
WEDNESDAY
Western MIchigan Broncos @ Northern Illinois Huskies, 7:00, ESPN2
Remember what I said about not a whole lot of games with implications? That doesn’t apply here. The Huskies are 1st in the MAC West (5-1) and the Broncos are 3rd (4-2). Incidentally, Western Michigan has the #2 team in the MAC West, the Toledo Rockets, next week. This game is just chock full of implications... if you care about MAC football... which I strangely do for some reason.
THURSDAY
Tulsa Golden Hurricane @ South Florida Bulls, 8:00, ESPN
There are few things I enjoy as much as a game between two teams with mascots that make no sense relative to their geographic location. Have fun!
FRIDAY
UNLV Rebels @ New Mexico Lobos, 9:30, ESPN2
Sure, why not...
SATURDAY NOON
#24 Michigan Wolverines @ #5 Wisconsin Badgers, 12:00, FOX
Normally I don’t go in for the Big 10’s brand of “football”. However, in this case I’ll make an exception because
a) This is the only game between 2 ranked teams all day and
b) Regardless who comes out the loser of this one, I’m gonna really enjoy it.
SATURDAY AFTERNOON
Kentucky Wildcats @ #7 Georgia Bulldogs, 3:30, CBS
What? You thought I was going to recommend Illinois/Ohio State? Not a chance. That said, honorable mention goes to the Navy Midshipmen and #8 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (3:30, NBC).
SATURDAY EVENING
#20 LSU Tigers @ Tennessee Volunteers, 7:00, ESPN
Because I never get tired of seeing bad things happen to the Vols. Good luck with Jon Gruden, ya goobers!
SATURDAY LATE
Utah Utes @ #18 Washington Huskies, 10:30, ESPN
As usual, it’s time for PAC-12 After Dark.
That’s it for now folks. Until next time...
GOOOO DAWGS!!!
