Sure, Memphis takes on Houston on ESPN in tonight’s college football matchup. But the real action for Bulldog fans will be on ESPN2, where recent Bulldog commit Justin Fields and his Harrison Hoyas will take on visiting Dalton at 7:30.
This will be many ‘Dawg fans’ first chance to see the nation’s top overall prospect in action. Dalton, a state semifinalist in 2016, comes in 6-1 overall and 4-0 in region 6-AAAAAA. The Catamounts have won 17 straight region games and beat the Hoyas in last season’s matchup, 31-14.
This should be one of Fields’s toughest tests of the season, and it will be interesting to see how he and his team respond. Also keep an eye out for Harrison receiver Steven Patterson, Justin’s top target who has a preferred walk-on invitation from Georgia but also recently earned a scholarship offer from Army (he previously held offers from Air Force and Western Carolina among others). The guy just keeps catching footballs. It’s really something.
Get ready, folks. It’s, um . . .err . . . IT’S THURSDAY NIGHT IN KENNESAW!!!!
