Bill Connelly's new article looks at actual production returning, not just starters. Using beta's of several variables, Connelly even weights the importance of production returning. Good news for the dogs: offensive line returning performance isn't as big of a deal as you might think.

"Over the last three years, 32 teams have returned at least 80 percent of their production based on current calculations; 26 of them improved, and 17 improved their adjusted scoring margin by more than a touchdown."

UGA ranks 9th with an overall 81% returning production.

The SEC East is particularly interesting, as besides from UGA, it is the usual bottom of the division teams that return a lot of production while FL and TN look to be replacing a large portion of their production. Lets all laugh at FL as only 53% of their defensive production returns.
