Georgia Bulldogs defensive back Kirby Choates has announced he’s leaving the program.
Choates was a sophomore who was not part of the team for the second half of the season, according to DawgNation, and was dealing with academic issues, meaning the move was more or less expected.
He appeared in three games on special teams and did not record a tackle.
He’s the third DB to leave this offseason, joining Juwuan Briscoe and Rico McGraw.
In contrast, the ‘Dawgs have picked up two big defensive back recruits in DeAngelo Gibbs and Tray Bishop, so there’s a good chance you’ll see some improvement from this unit in coming seasons.
