Georgia looks to continue strong conference play against Texas A&M

NCAA Basketball: Vanderbilt at Georgia Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Following a tough road loss to Florida last weekend Mark Fox’s team rebounded for a midweek home win against Vandy. The ‘Dawgs (12-6, 4-2 SEC) now return to the road, heading to College Station to take on the Texas A&M Aggies (9-8, 1-5 SEC) at noon on ESPN2.

Following a 28 win season in 2015-16, the Ags have had a rough go of things this season. Following a trio of non-conference losses to USC, UCLA, and Arizona out of the PAC-12, Billy Kennedy’s squad has had trouble getting over the hump in conference play as well. Aside from a 42 point loss to Kentucky they’ve been in most every game, most recently losing to Arkansas by 2 after leading by double digits in the second half.

I get the sense this Texas A&M team may be a little more dangerous than their record would imply. But this is the type of winnable road game that a Georgia team that’s played good conference basketball needs to handle.
