Kirby Smart is quickly making his recruiting presence felt with the Georgia Bulldogs as he’s clinging to the nation’s No. 3 class at the moment.
But across the border in Columbia, fellow former defensive coordinator Will Muschamp isn’t doing so bad either. His 2017 Gamecocks class is ranked No. 15 nationally and includes a top cornerback from UGA’s backyard.
That player is Jamyest Williams, a four-star CB from Loganville who committed to South Carolina back in August. He’s making the short trip to Athens this weekend for a visit, where Smart will make his case to the Gamecocks’ highest-rated recruit.

The 5’9, 170-pound recruit holds offers from just about every big-name school in the south. After his UGA visit is through he will visit South Carolina next weekend.
He’s got a highlight reel pinned to his twitter account indicating Georgia and USC are the top remaining choices:

Georgia fans will be eager to see which way he’s leaning on Monday morning.
