The 2016 college football season is so yesterday. Now it’s time to look at betting odds and Top 25s for a season that’s more than 230 days away.
Whatever.
Next year’s opening odds are out for the national title. You can get the Georgia Bulldogs at 40/1:

Alabama 3/1
FSU 7/1
Oklahoma 8/1
Ohio St 8/1
USC 8/1
Louisville 12/1
Mich 12/1
LSU 12/1 pic.twitter.com/5P5nujgiZW
The ‘Dawgs odds are the same as Washington and Virginia Tech, tied for the 16th-best in the country. They fall down quite quickly once you get past the top eight teams or so.
Alabama, of course, is the favorite at 3/1, with LSU getting the second-best odds in the SEC at 12/1.
Clemson is just 18/1 despite winning it all last night (Deshaun Watson is a hell of a player) and Auburn is 30/1.
Florida and Tennessee are both 50/1, and if you’re feeling reeeeeally lucky you can get Georgia Tech at 200/1.
Who ya got?
