Well, Week 1 of the season was certainly exciting. Week 2 is a bit more of a crapshoot because all of those teams that played big games Week 1 have gone home to nurse their wounds and recover on a steady cupcake diet. Despite this strategy, there are still plenty of good viewing options for your second weekend of college football action. So it is with great pleasure that we present you with...

FRIDAY
#13 Louisville Cardinals @ Syracuse Orange, 8 pm, ESPN2
Bobby Petrino is a raging d-bag. Everything about the man makes you wonder whether or not the human race should be allowed to continue its existence. Syracuse may have beaten the Colgate Raiders 33-7, but that doesn't make them a good football team. In fact, I'm totally sure they aren't. Louisville will almost certainly win this one going away, but on the off chance Syracuse comes to play, wouldn't you like to say you were there to see it?
SATURDAY NOON
Nicholls State Colonels @ #9 Georgia Bulldogs, 12 pm, SEC Network
I fully intended to slide in a Georgia game against a cupcake and give you another (ostensibly better) option, but holy cow the noon games suck this week. Just watch the Dawgs and marvel at the majesty that is Nick Chubb.
SATURDAY MIDDAY
Kentucky Wildcats @ Florida Gators, 3:30 pm, CBS
I almost can't believe CBS is paying for this garbage. I assume Florida will win but I also don't think they are that much better than Kentucky. You can't imagine how much pleasure it gives me to write that.
SATURDAY EVENING
#17 Tennessee Volunteers vs. Virginia Tech Hokies (Bristol), 8pm, ABC
The Vols struggled to defeat the Appalachian State Mountaineers. The Hokies didn't exactly instill confidence with their performance against Liberty. Either way, I think the Vols are going down in this one. A team with any kind of depth whatsoever would have defeated Tennessee in Week 1 and, though I'm not exactly the ACC's biggest cheerleader, Virginia Tech at least has some depth. One might argue that Butch Jones will get his team up to play in Week 2, but go watch any video of Butch Jones speaking (like this one) and then get back to me.
And mark my words... someone if probably going to die at Bristol. You just can't put that many drunk hillbillies in one place and expect no one to get beaten to death with a tire iron. You may not see it during the game, but keep your eyes on CNN Sunday morning.
SATURDAY LATE
Washington State Cougars @ Boise State Broncos, 10:15 pm, ESPN2
There are worse things to do when you're still a little bit hammered than watch a Mike Leach offense. ARGH!
---
Do you remember when I said there were plenty of good viewing options this weekend? Yeah... I was wrong. This weekend of college football sucks the big one. I guess it's only fitting that "The Greatest Opening Weekend in College Football History" would be followed by "CupcakeFest 2016." But you know what? If you invest in enough Maker's Mark you won't notice.
That's all for this week folks. Until next time...
GOOOO DAWGS!!!
