We have a special treat this first Saturday of the college football season.  At 7:30 in the morning there will be honest to God football on the TV.  Well, actually it's the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Boston College Eagles, but that's close enough.   And that means you can literally watch football (or something approximating it) all... day... long. None of that sitting around watching Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Paul Finebaum, or Timmy Tebow pontificate on what they are certain will happen this year (Spoiler alert: they'll be wrong about almost everything) while you wait for the games to start.  Nope, this year you just get to go straight to the good stuff.  So tune your TVs to ESPN2 and get ready to start the day live from Dublin, Ireland.

I'm, of course, following my normal Saturday morning ritual.  I'm Red and Black from head to toe, the smoker is going, the crockpot is on, and the Maker's 46 has taken up residence in my favorite Georgia Bulldogs rocks glass.  As has become tradition, I have put on the R.E.M. full blast much to my wife's chagrin. I've decided to go with Green this morning, as in previous years I began with Reckoning and Fables of the Reconstruction and that did not end well.  I'm hoping the more upbeat overall tone (by R.E.M. standards anyway) will provide improved results. And while I can't share my vinyl with you, here's a little something to get the day started right:

This is your open comment thread for the early, early AM and "The Debacle in Dublin."  Feel free to share how you're doing this first Saturday of the season, your gameday morning traditions, thoughts on Tech/BC, or just general squeals of delight at the return of college football.

Enjoy! And GOOOO DAWGS!!!
