Georgia Overview

Georgia got a good, old fashioned whoopin’ in Oxford, falling to the Rebels 45-14.  Jacob Eason looked like a true freshman quarterback playing against a tough road opponent, and his receivers didn’t do him any favors.  It was a tough game to watch, but hopefully the young Dawgs can learn from this experience.

To make matters worse, Nick Chubb left the game with an ankle injury, and his status for this weekend’s showdown against Tennessee is in question.  The Dawgs need their workhorse runningback against the Volunteers, which is a must-win after the Vols disposed of the Florida Gators to take control of the SEC East.

Movers

Fell Out: #18 LSU, #25 Oklahoma

Newcomers: #21 TCU, #24 Boise State

Overrated

#25 Georgia

I hate doing this, but at the same time, I have no idea how the Dawgs are still ranked.  Playing Between the Hedges should help the Dawgs, and I’d like to think Georgia is going to respond to adversity nicely and give Tennessee their best shot.  A win puts Georgia back in the driver’s seat in the SEC East.

Underrated

Arizona State and West Virginia

If you get through September without a loss, you should be ranked.  Therefore, Arizona State and West Virginia should have been included in this week’s Top 25.

This Week’s Top 25 Matchups

#7 Stanford vs. #10 Washington

#11 Tennessee vs. #25 Georgia

#8 Wisconsin vs. #4 Michigan

#3 Louisville vs. #5 Clemson

Upset Alert

I righted the ship and correctly picked Auburn over LSU, which turned out to be the final straw for Les Miles at LSU.

This week, I’m taking Oklahoma on the road knocking off TCU.
