After some crummy Bulldog NFL news yesterday morning it feels great to begin the day with former UGA wide receiver Tavarres King having a great night for the New York Giants. King is one of those Damn Good Dawg you just desperately want to see do well. Good for him, and hooefullt he's done enough to catch on in the Big Apple.
Jacob Eason’s personal QB coach says that Eason COULD be the guy against North Carolina. That's not really anything new, but it bears noting that Kirby Smart’s weekly media availability will be on Mondays beginning at noon starting today. So there's a chance we may get an actual answer on the quarterback battle today. Cross your fingers.
I keep trying to not get over-excited about what Coaches Chaney and Pittman bring to the table in Athens. The players themselves keep foiling my efforts to contain my enthusiasm.
Should Georgia be considered a "co-favorite" with Tennessee to win the SEC East? I have some thoughts on that subject coming up tomorrow, but Bill C. over at Football Study Hall is (as usual) way ahead of me.
What Georgia is a favorite for is to beat North Carolina by a field goal on Saturday in the Georgia Dome. Again, I'm really hoping this game does not come down to an actual field goal attempt.
Finally, while football remains front and center in Bulldog nation, congrats to the women's soccer team on a shutout of Cal State-Fullerton to run their record to 2-1-1 on the young season. The 'Dawgs will travel to Auburn this coming weekend to play against Southern Cal and Iowa State among others in the Auburn Classic. Until later . . .
Go 'Dawgs!!!
