The race for Trevor Lawrence, the top-rated quarterback in the 2018 class, has long believed to be between the Georgia Bulldogs and Clemson Tigers.
In an interview with 247Sports, Lawrence confirmed those are his top two schools, and said he hopes to visit both again before the end of this month.
"Yes sir, pretty much," he told the site when asked if Georgia and Clemson are his final programs.
Lawrence hails from Cartersville and says the in-state aspect of playing for the ‘Dawgs is appealing. Clemson is selling him on his fit for the program and the offense. He threw for 3,655 yards and 43 touchdowns as a sophomore.
The 6-6, 200-pound recruit will spend the rest of this week in 7-on-7 action for Cartersville High.
