Is Georgia/Florida really the most unpredictable rivalry in college football?

The math says "yes."

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Over at the mother ship Michael of Braves and Birds fame recently asked if it's true that you can "throw out the record books" in college football's rivalry games. The answer appears to generally be "no." The team that should be favored generally wins. Logic 1, tired sports cliche 0.

But relatively speaking some rivalry games actually are more unpredictable than others. And none is more unpredictable than Georgia/Florida. While I could quibble with some of the conclusions (like the notion that the 2012 Gators were the stronger team, despite what the data indicates), there's no disputing that the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party is likely the most nonsensical annual affair around. Often to the detriment of the team in red and black.
