5-Star Recruit Thinks Kirby Smart will 'Get the Bulldogs that Championship'

"Smart is building something special at Georgia."

Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Five-star cornerback DeAngelo Gibbs hasn't committed to the Georgia Bulldogs -- or any other team for that matter -- but sounds like a big Kirby Smart fan per an interview with 247Sports.

"They are on me hard," Gibbs told 247's recruiting analyst Justin Hopkins. "I like them a lot. They are recruiting me very hard."

Gibbs is a Grayson High product who's 6-4, 204 pounds and the No. 11 prospect in the entire 2017 class. Virtually every major program in the country has offered him but his latest comments bode well for the hometown 'Dawgs.

"Kirby Smart is building something special at Georgia, and in a couple of years, I think he will get the Bulldogs that championship," he said.

Gibbs plans to become an early enrollee, and Florida, Tennessee, Auburn and Ohio State are likely to be the toughest competition for UGA's recruiting coaches. Check out Gibbs' highlights here:
