NFL.com: Georgia's Nick Chubb is a Heisman Contender in 2016

Could the 'Dawgs running back bring home college football's top honor?

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

A healthy Nick Chubb will go a long way toward the Georgia Bulldogs jumping out of the gate and returning to glory in 2016. Can Chubb go all the way and bring home a Heisman Trophy?

NFL.com's Chase Goodbread thinks so, listing Chubb among his "16 for '16" Heisman watch list.

Here are Goodbread's thoughts on the Georgia running back:

It's not clear when Chubb will be ready to play again as he rehabs a knee injury that made TV viewers cringe during an Oct. 10 game against rival Tennessee. But if he's back to begin the season, he's a Heisman threat. Between the Todd Gurley injury that created Chubb's midseason opportunity in 2014, and the half season he played last year until his own injury, Chubb has about one season of experience over a two-year period under his belt. His combined numbers from those two half seasons are breathtaking: 311 carries, 2,294 yards and 21 TDs.

The only other SEC players on the list are Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly and LSU running back Leonard Fournette.

Do y'all think Chubb can win the hardware?
