It was more likely than not that Georgia would pick up a commitment or two out of today's legion of visitors. But the one who committed well in advance of game time was a bigger fish than many would have expected.
Four star recruit William Poole, III is a national composite top 100 cornerback from Hapeville Charter School who's been pursued by most of the major SEC powers, and was being recruited hard by Florida and Auburn among others. Poole has a great frame and excels in man coverage. He's also physical for his size, a must in Coach Smart's defensive system.
Keeping one of the top ten players in the Peach State home is never a bad thing, especially when like the 5'11, 185 pound Poole that player is a standout at a position of perennial need. Not a bad start to the day at all.
