Georgia opens NIT play against Belmont

Editor's note: Some technical difficulties prevented us from getting this posted before game time, but the Internet Gods seem to be smiling on us at the moment. Praise be to them, and the gerbils who keep the lights on at Dawg Sports HQ.

Georgia's about to tip it off against the Belmont Bruins live from the friendly confines of Stegeman Coliseum. It will be interesting to see how this one plays out. Georgia appears to be physically superior to the Bruins, however, the visitors have an experienced line up and have acquitted them selves well against favorite opponents over the past couple of years. Also worth watching me how Georgia comes out after a draining SEC tournament finale against Kentucky. Georgia may also be playing without JJ Frazier, who injured (then reinsured) his ankle during the conference tournament. Belmont is a team who can make you pay for turnovers, and like Georgia that shown a penchant for stingy defense. In some ways this game sets up as a match up of two teams he like to do a lot of the same things. The team to execute better will likely prevail. Let's get it on!
