Coming off a trio of victories to end the regular season, Georgia looks to extend its hot streak tonight as it begins SEC tournament play against Mississippi State (SEC Network, 9:00-9:30 pm tip depending on prior games). The Red and Black downed the Bizarro Bulldogs 66-57 on February 13, but the Starkvillians they face this time are a different bunch. That MSU team came into its contest against the 'Dawgs losers of five in a row. This one comes in having won four of six, with one loss a close two point defeat at the hands of Texas A&M.
In short, Ben Howland's team comes in hot at the right time. Mark Fox's squad has also been playing some of its best basketball as well. One of these mid-bracket teams is going to go home disappointed. The other moves on to face #3 seed South Carolina in the quarterfinals. Let's tip it off!
Go 'Dawgs!!!
