Another day, another off-the-field award for a Georgia Bulldogs alumnus.
Malcolm Mitchell, currently gearing up for the NFL Draft, will receive the Atlanta Sports Council's Community Spirit Award. He'll be recognized Feb. 25 at the 11th annual Atlanta Sports Awards, which are held at the Fox Theatre.
The award goes "to an individual with local ties who is actively involved in the community and epitomizes the highest standards for leadership, sportsmanship and integrity." The announcement comes one day after another former 'Dawg, Thomas Davis, won the NFLPA's Byron "Whizzer" White Award.
Another fun fact:

Mitchell created a program called "Reading with Malcolm," which encourages kids and their parents to spend time reading books. He's even written and published his own children's book, "The Magician's Hat."
Mitchell reads to kids on a regular basis at local schools, and volunteers with various organizations.
