Georgia headed to the NIT?

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Let's be honest. February has been a cruel month for the University of Georgia's NCAA tournament hopes.  There is a whole different discussion to be had about whether Mark Fox's teen underachieved, overachieved, or did about what they should have been 2015–2016.  Will wait on that until after the regular season finale on Thursday against South Carolina and the ensuing SEC tournament.

But it does look like the Bulldogs have a great shot at postseason play outside of March Madness.  Bracket Matrix currently picks the 'Dawgs as a six seed in the NIT facing an opening round match up against Princeton. The Tigers are 20-5 on the season, and ranked second in the Ivy League and #32 in the RPI. In short, the guys from New Jersey would be a tough out. Until later...

Go 'Dawgs!!!
