This Sunday ESPN's SportsCenter will air a special looking at the town from which Nick Chubb came, and how it shaped him.
It's not the first time Chubb has talked about Chubbtown and the responsibility he feels to the generations of Chubbs who came before him, and who founded a free black community that survived the Civil War. It's a fascinating yet sadly little-known part of Georgia history that would be worth learning about even if the big tailback had never carried the ball once in Sanford Stadium. But if you haven't heard this particular tale of a local kid trying to do well not only by the home folks, but by several generations of them, you'll likely be touched by this story. Until later . . .
