Aaron Davis apparently back

At least by the looks of this Instagram post, Aaron Davis will be returning for his senior season at Georgia. There had been some non-specific speculation that the former walk-on, who recently completed his degree, might be moving on after this season. That seemed a little odd when you consider that Davis has played in every game this season and started ten of them. There should be competition in the UGA secondary this spring, but Aaron Davis looks to be one of the main competitors, not a guy getting pushed out.

Davis was the last junior who seemed to have any potential to leave for a pro career, though there remain a few players on the roster who may yet decide to transfer or to hang up the cleats for medical reasons. In the end analysis, the football gods have been exceedingly kind to Kirby Smart this year so far as attrition goes. After an 8-5 season which looks like it may end with his former employer and a school an hour east of Athens playing yet again for a national title, he could use the break. Until later . . .

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
