Clean, Old Fashioned Hate is getting Chippy with it.

NCAA Football: Georgia Tech at Georgia Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

We’re tied up at the half, just like two brothers trading punches on a holiday weekend.

Taking a look at the first half stats:

Jacob Eason is 8/11 and 64 yards. Eason continues spreading the ball around hitting 5 different receivers: Riley Ridley, Isaiah McKenzie, Terry Godwin, Isaac Nauta & Sony Michel.

Team Rushing this week is 25 carries for 175 yards. Rushing carries have been just about evenly split between Nick Chubb and Sony Michel 13 & 12 carries for 58 & 117 yards respectively. Our total offensive plan this week is primarily RTDB with enough passing to keep Tech guessing with 64 yards receiving, 175 yards rushing, 239 yards total.

Hot Rod Blankenship missed his only field goal attempt thus far, but made both extra points easily. Brice Ramsey is taking care of punting duty with 1 punt for 37 yards. Dominick Sanders pulled off the only interception of the game.

I know the game feels chippy and tight and certainly the score reflects that.

So far we've held Georgia Tech to:

Passing: 3/4 86 total yards; Rushing: 15 carries for 115 yards; and 1 punt.

We're winning the battle for total offense our 239 to their 201 and time of possession is following along, our 19:50 to their 10:10. Since the Unsportsman Like Penalties offset, the penalty war is theirs with 2 for 26 to our 1 for 10.

Let's hope we make the necessary adjustments and put the game away in the second half!

GO DAWGSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!
