Monday Morning ‘Dawg Bites

Tennessee v Georgia Photo by Scott Cunningham/Getty Images

If you're anything like me you just can't wait to get started on a new week that might, just might, not end with a gut-wrenching loss. Let’s kick this one off with all the news that’s fit to print in Bulldog Nation.

Will Muschamp feels our pain, which is quite a comfort. It won't help Bulldog fans forget that their team lost, then won, then again lost the same football game in just over one minute of game time. But Muschamp is right that losing the way UGA did takes some getting over. My biggest fear this weekend isn't losing to South Carolina for the first time under Kirby Smart. It's losing to Tennessee for the second.

And while the offense may make adjustments, and the defense may tweak some things, the Bulldog special teams is a failure forever (or at least one more week).

On the bright side, and not to beat a dead horse, the freshmen played a critical role collectively in keeping Georgia in this one. And they continue to improve weekly. Is this looking for a silver lining in an otherwise crappy situation? You bet your backside it is. But given the present, the future looks like the best place for Bulldog fans to live right now.

The Georgia equestrian team is about to begin regular season competition, but first they banked a solid scrimmage win over Alabama. Hunt Seat national championship, PAWL! No, seriously, we could be in contention for a equestrian national title. Stay tuned.

And as dejected as Bulldog fans are, it's always helpful to remember: there are others who have it worse. We could have lost to North Carolina. So there's that. Until later...

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
