Georgia picks up big commitment from four star receiver Riley Ridley.

Deerfield Beach wide receiver Cavin "Riley" Ridley came to Athens today for an unofficial visit. And decided not to leave. The 247Sports composite top 250 player liked what he saw and went ahead and enrolled at the University of Georgia.

Ridley, the brother of standout Alabama receiver Calvin Ridley, also had offers from the likes of Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Tennessee, and Ohio State. He had been briefly committed to South Carolina. You can see why in these Hudl highlights from his junior season. Ridley catches the ball well in traffic, and has excellent acceleration. At 6'1 and 1/2 and 198 pounds has good size. He also flashes some deceptive top end speed.

Ridley's commitment gives new receivers coach James Coley his first commitment for the Red and Black. But Ridley's commitment also gives Georgia a commitment at a position of significant need. While there are still other prospects out there who could play receiver (looking at you, Mecole Hardman and Demetris Robertson), Ridley's commitment is great news.
