Alabama WR Nico Collins among visitors to Athens

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

A ton of talented players for the class of 2016 made the trek to Athens this weekend. But there were also some really talented juniors in the crowd. One surprise 2017 visitor in town was Pinson, Alabama wide receiver Nico Collins. Collins, rated the #2 player in the Yellowhammer State and the #11 junior receiver in the nation, already has offers from not only Georgia but the home state Tide and Plainsmen, not to mention Clemson, Florida, Michigan, Miami, and Virginia Tech.

Depending on which 2016 recruits end up at receiver, Georgia could be in the market for as many as four players at the position next year. The 6'5, 200 pound Collins brings unique size and has shown he can be productive, catching 60 passes for 1103 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2015. With all the talented Georgia-born players who've played for the Tide, it would be a great coup for Kirby Smart to turn the tables on this one. Until later...
