Georgia Overview

The Dawgs took out years of frustration against Steve Spurrier and South Carolina, defeating the Gamecocks 52-20 and avenging last season’s heartbreak.  Quarterback Greyson Lambert set an NCAA record with a 96% completion percentage in the game.  Nick Chubb was once again Nick Chubb, rushing for 159 yards on 21 carries, while fellow backfield mate Sony Michel found the endzone three times.

Georgia will look to keep this momentum going as they face Southern University this weekend.

Fell Out: #18 Auburn,

Newcomers: #21 Stanford

#10 Florida State.  I’m not going to hold too much against the Seminoles for their 14-0 win against Boston College.  Anything can happen on those off-day games, and they did pitch a shutout.  However, they are a far cry from the previous two FSU teams, and they’ll trip up a couple times once they get into the meat of their schedule.

#16 Arizona.  Rich Rod’s Wildcats haven’t played anyone yet, but that changes quickly as the UCLA Bruins, and College Gameday, come to Tucson.  Quarterback Anu Solomon is an underrated player himself, having thrown for 10 touchdowns and no interceptions thus far.

The Wildcats will show the nation they are for real this weekend.

This Week’s Top 25 Matchups

#9 UCLA at #16 Arizona

#18 Utah at #13 Oregon

Upset Alert

Last week, I picked Georgia Tech to beat Notre Dame.  I’m not upset that I was wrong to be honest.

This week, I’ve got Arizona upsetting UCLA in what will be a big weekend for the Pac-12 Conference.
