As we enter the last full week of March, some spring sports are starting to wind down.  Yet still more are entering that final kick of their seasons and looking to bring home some titles.  Well, we all love winners so let's see what's going on around the Classic City.

AROUND HERE

Vine keeps you up on the gymnastics.  Kyle has your lacrosse news covered.  Glimmer brings us the stuff on PGA Tour Dawgs. And basketball had a busy week with the men seeing their season end in the NCAAs, and the only women's hoops coach the Dawgs have ever known called it quits.  Vineyarddawg has some thoughts on who might fill his shoes, too.

BASEBALL

The Diamond Dawgs suffered a nasty loss to Mercer midweek, but bounced back to take all three games up in Knoxville over the weekend.  Mercer makes its' way to Athens Tuesday for a 6:00 first pitch at Foley Field.  Kennesaw St will be in town Wednesday at 5, and Scott Stricklin's squad will be back on the road at South Carolina over the weekend.

GOLF

Junior Lee McCoy is looking like the next in line of Dawg golf greats as he took medalist honors leading Georgia to second at the Linger Longer Invitational. Earlier in the week, they took first while hosting the Southern Intercollegiate at Athens Country Club. In sadder news, former All-American David Miller passed away at just 36 years of age earlier this week. Coming up over the weekend, the men head to North Carolina for the Seahawk Intercollegiate.  In Athens, the women will host women's college golf's premier tournament with the Liz Murphy and a who's who of elite college golfers.

SWIMMING AND DIVING

The Lady Dawgs came up just short of another national title, finishing second at the NCAAs over the weekend. Fifteen of the men will be in Iowa City for their NCAA Championships this coming weekend.

TRACK AND FIELD

The Dawgs dominated the Georgia relays over the weekend, with several top finishers. They'll be in Atlanta for the Yellow Jacket Invitational starting Friday, and you can catch exclusive video of NCAA high jump champ Leontia Kallenou over on georgiadogs.

EQUESTRIAN

Junior Olivia Gaude was named to the SEC Community Service Team. She and her teammates will be the one seed at the SEC Championships this weekend in College Station.

SOCCER

Kyle won't like this.

SOFTBALL

Back on the winning side of things, the Lady Diamond Dawgs crushed Tech midweek. They stayed hot sweeping Arkansas at home over the weekend, too. Next up, they host Georgia Southern Wednesday at 6 before heading to Knoxville to take on the Vols in a weekend series.

TENNIS

As always, Georgia looks good on the courts.  The men didn't lose a match to either South Carolina or East Tennessee State last week. Austin Smith, a junior from Cumming, earned Player of the Week honors for his performances the week before against Tennessee and Kentucky.  Manny Diaz's team only has one match this week, Friday against Vandy on the Dan Magill Courts at 5.

The women took care of business against Tennessee in their lone match over the last seven days.  They'll stay on the road this weekend with trips to Arkansas and Missouri.

And as always, Gooooooooooooooooooo Dawgs!
