'Dawgs Will Dance With Michigan State

We're playing the who? Seriously? Who's puppy did I kick?

Mark Fox's Georgia Bulldogs floated over the bubble and right into a tough first round matchup with Tom Izzo's Michigan State Spartans. The Spartans (23-11 overall, 12-6 in the Big Ten) are coming off a tough 80-69 overtime loss to #6 Wisconsin in the Big Ten Tournament final. They're sitting at #22 in the RPI, and perhaps most worrisome they're an experienced, tournament-tested team.

Sparty has made the last three NCAA tournaments, carding two sweet sixteens and an elite eight appearance. While this year's squad hasn't lit up the Big Ten and isn't one of Izzo's top ten, championship contender squads, they're a solid, veteran unit which will present a stiff challenge for the 'Dawgs. But hey, we're dancing. And it feels good. We'll worry more about the x's and o's tomorrow. For now let's just congratulate the Hoop Hounds on a gutsy season and get ready for the gang from East Lansing. Until later. . .

Go 'Dawgs!!!
