Mark Fox's Georgia Bulldogs take on the Yellow Jackets at high noon today in Stegeman Coliseum, with live TV coverage on the SEC Network. A few quick notes to get you up to speed before game time:
- Georgia comes in having played the 4th toughest schedule in the country according to ESPN's nifty RPI replication. That's not a bad number if the 'Dawgs can get things together during the upcoming conference schedule and the mid major teams on the schedule so far stay strong through the season.
- Yante Maten is now averaging 16.9 points per game to lead the team, though Kenny Gaines is right behind him at 16.5 per game. I'm just excited to have a valid scoring threat in both the front and back court.
- It will be interesting to see how the 'Dawgs look after an 11 day break for finals. One would expect a little bit of rust. Tech by the way polished off Virginia Commonwealth on Wednesday night, 77-64.
We'll be back later this afternoon with a recap of all the action. Until later . . .
Go 'Dawgs!!!
