Many years ago a group of persecuted outcasts sat down in a strange land to give thanks for their blessings and to look forward to a brighter day. But enough about the founding of the Georgia Tech Athletic Booster Club.
It's Thanksgiving, a day on which we here at Dawg Sports are perhaps even more cognizant than usual of the many gifts that life offers. Personally, I'm thankful for the lone trumpeter. For fresh, hot onion rings at the Varsity. For Belue to Scott. And the flea flicker. And the drought breaker. For Baba O'Reily, and Soulja Boy. For pledges in white shirts and ties. For the guy on the corner of Lumpkin and Broad who still needs two. For Knowshon and Tardits and the Baileys and Edwardses. For Green and Greene and Herschel. Lord, how I am thankful for Herschel.
But most of all I am thankful for the wonderful folks who write for this site, and those of you who come to visit. It has not been the easiest football season on record. but your efforts to handle it with grace, and humor, have made it all worthwhile. happy happy Thanksgiving everyone, and…
