Georgia Overview

Georgia hung on to defeat Georgia Southern 23-17 in overtime.  It was an ugly game, but the Dawgs found a way to win on Senior Day in Sanford Stadium.

The Dawgs wrap up the regular season this Saturday in Atlanta against Georgia Tech, looking to start a new win streak against the Yellow Jackets following last year’s overtime loss.

Movers

Fell Out: #17 LSU, #18 Utah, #21 Wisconsin, #22 USC

Newcomers: #22 UCLA, #23 Mississippi State, #24 Toledo, #25 Temple

Overrated

#4 Notre Dame.  Somehow, they keep on winning.  The Fighting Irish held off a Boston College comeback to win 19-16 last weekend.  Their winning ways will change this weekend when Stanford beats them, creating even more chaos leading up to the playoff.

Underrated

#5 Oklahoma.  The Sooners aren’t necessarily underrated; they did nothing to say we are underestimating them after needing a stop on TCU’s two-point conversion to hang on and win 30-29.  However, I do believe they are playing like a team that deserves to be in the playoff assuming they beat Oklahoma St.

This Week’s Top 25 Matchups

#16 Navy at #21 Houston

#7 Baylor at #15 TCU

#8 Ohio State at #12 Michigan

#4 Notre Dame at #13 Stanford

#14 Florida State at #10 Florida

#5 Oklahoma at #9 Oklahoma State

Upset Alert

Last week I called Ole Miss downing LSU.

This week, Ole Miss will be the ones who are upset as Mississippi State will win the Egg Bowl.
