Early Games Open Thread: The Waiting Is The Hardest Part

Ben Queen-USA TODAY Sports

Make no mistake, there's really only one college football game to which you should be devoting your full attention today. But we understand you need to do something between now and 3:30. If that something is watching televised college football and talking about it with your fellow Georgia Bulldog fans, then this is the place for you.

As always you can find RedCrake's full television schedule here. For my money there are two main early matchups. There's Oklahoma and West Virginia (noon, Fox Sports 1) playing what should be a solidly competitive matchup of top 25 teams. And then there's Texas visiting #3 TCU (noon, ABC) in a game that could get real ugly in a real hurry. Really your viewing choice depends on whether you enjoy the symphony of a well-played contest or would rather watch some poor schmuck get jumped and beaten senseless in a back alley. And by "schmuck" I mean Charlie Strong, while by "back alley" I mean the beautiful tree-lined campus of Texas Christian.

And if you prefer your football with a bit of a drawl, there's some action at noon on the SEC Network as well, where South Carolina takes on Missouri. If the Gamecocks drop this one, football fans across the Palmetto State will be setting up GoFundMe drives aimed at getting the Head Ball Coach a gold pocket watch and a limo ride to Augusta.

Whatever you're watching, we're glad you're watching it here. Until later...

Go 'Dawgs!!!
