Your Week 5 College Football TV Schedule

Brought to you by Paul Finebaum... May Georgia's performance against Alabama cause his tiny brain to explode out of his giant ears.

This is what Paul Finebaum looks like right before he tells you he's gonna call some friends to come down and then they're gonna kill you.

Its gonna be a great weekend for college football.  While I'll be downtown before Georgia takes on Alabama, you may want to tune-in to some pregame television or even one of the early games.  Before noon, I really don't care what you choose to view, although I'd recommend steering clear of the hot street trash that will be sullying the beauty of the Myers Quad.  I love the SEC Network, but I'll pass on SEC Nation.  In selecting both Paul Finebaum and Tim Tebow for the same broadcast, they've pretty much ensured that there is no way I'll ever give a crap about anything said on that show (I actually kind of appreciate what Greg McElroy brings, but I can just catch him when he's in the studio).

Once the games start, however, you'll have plenty to watch.  Here are the best of the best:

THURSDAY

Miami-Florida Hurricanes @ Cincinnati Bearcats, 7:30 pm ESPN

Here comes the ACC to rescue your Thursday nights! Now with Bonus Tuberville!

FRIDAY

Connecticut Huskies @ BYU Cougars, 10:15 pm ESPN

I guess? Two weeks ago this might have seemed like the kind of game you'd want to stay up for (for BYU at least).  Now you're probably better off getting some extra sleep.

SATURDAY NOON

Texas Longhorns @ #3 TCU Horned Frogs, 12:00 pm ABC

While an argument can be made for the #21 West Virginia Mountaineers visiting the #14 Oklahoma Sooners in Norman, I can't recommend averting your eyes from Texas.  One of these days Charlie Strong is gonna put it all together.  But Saturday isn't that day and you can watch the downward spiral continue for at least a bit longer.

SATURDAY MIDDAY

#13 Alabama Crimson Tide @ #6 Georgia Bulldogs, 3:30 pm CBS

This is the game. There is no other game.

SATURDAY EVENING

#5 Ole Miss Rebels @ #23 Florida Gators, 7:00 pm ESPN

Can the Gators pull the upset? NOPE! But if you watch them try, there is an excellent chance you can watch a couple of them tackle and/or block one another.

#7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish @ #11 Clemson Tigers, 8:00 pm ABC

Listen Clemson. We go way back, okay? Sometimes you beat us and sometimes we beat you, but I feel a kinship with you due to geography and our shared history.  I'm gonna need you to do me a solid here...

SATURDAY LATE

#24 Oregon Ducks @ Colorado Buffaloes, 10:00 pm ESPN

As sure as the sun rises and sets, there will always be Pac-12 football to watch until 1 am.  Its not always good, but its going to be there for you.  Fall asleep to the sweet sound of Oregon struggling with Colorado.

That's all for this week folks. Until next time...

GOOOO DAWGS!!!
