The 247Sports site covering Alabama is reporting that Nick's cornerback Rico McGraw, who flipped his commitment from Georgia to Alabama over the summer, has now decommitted from the Crimson Tide. The article also notes McGraw's strong relationship with Jeremy Pruitt, which you may remember was a part of his decision to commit to Georgia in the first place. While rumors emerged that his family was strongly pushing him towards Tuscaloosa, McGraw never seemed to really close the door on the Bulldogs.
It is possible that the decommitment from Alabama is merely a prelude to another change of heart bringing him to Athens. However, anyone who has looked at Alabama's current monster recruiting class has to also allow for the possibility that the Crimson Tide have simply run out of room. Either way, McGraw re-committing to the red and black would go a long way toward salving the wound of Shaq Wilson's decommitment yesterday, as well as what I believe may be DeAndre Baker's likely decommitment to head to Texas in the coming days. 247Sports crystal ball predictions on McGraw are now running 70%+ in favor of the Classic City Canines. We'll be back with more on this story as it develops. Until later...
