The Georgia Bulldogs look to extend their conference winning streak to four straight games when they square off against Mississippi State Saturday afternoon in Starkville.

The Georgia Bulldogs are back at it on Saturday as they travel to Starkville for a road match up against the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Georgia is riding a three-game winning streak and looks to capture another road win on Saturday against a Mississippi State team that has been up and down so far this season.

At 12-5 and with a 3-2 conference mark, Georgia has positioned itself well early for a potential NCAA bid at the end of the season. The Bulldogs defeated Ole Miss Tuesday at Stegeman 69-64 behind another good performance from senior Marcus Thornton. Georgia overcame a first-half deficit and smothered the Rebels defensively down the stretch. They overcame some early free throw struggles and was near perfect down the stretch to close out the win.

Mississippi State comes in at 9-9 and at 2-3 in the conference. They began the season with five straight wins but then lost nine of their next 11. They are currently riding a two game winning streak with wins over Vanderbilt and Auburn. Mississippi State has struggled to score this season averaging just 61.1 points per game while shooting 42 percent from the field. Junior guard Fred Thomas leads the team averaging 10.4 points per game but is shooting just 36 percent from the field.

I.J. Ready finished with 18 points while Gavin Ware added 16 points and 17 rebounds in Wednesday's win over Auburn.

Georgia's Juwan Parker will sit out his third straight game on Saturday due to an Achilles injury and it doesn't sound like he is anywhere close to returning. Parker briefly returned for the Bulldogs' win over Florida but the injury flared up again. J.J. Frazier moved into the starting lineup in Parker's absence.
