NFC Championship Game: How To Watch, Odds, And Open Comment Thread.

No college football? No problem! The professionals take to the field to decide who gets to play between commercials at this year's Super Bowl.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks kick off at 3:05 p.m. (ET) on Sunday, January 18, with TV coverage provided by FOX. The game can be streamed live online through FOX as well. The Seahawks come in as a are a 7.5-point favorite, which makes sense both in light of what we've seen them do in the playoffs and the fact that they're always a tough out when playing at home.

These teams last met in Week 1, with the defending champion Seahawks hosting the Packers and laying the wood to them pretty hard in a 36-16 win. Put another way the 'Hawks have the ability to blow the Packers out. They've done it before. That being said, it's always tough to beat the same team twice in one year, especially in the NFL, where the talent gap between teams is minuscule compared to lower levels of football.

If you're like me you probably choose your fleeting NFL rooting interests based upon a given team's Georgia Bulldog content and concentration. By this I mean that you root for the pro squad with the largest number of Bulldogs, or the team for which former UGA players play critical roles. In this one there's only one Bulldog taking the field, Seattle defensive end Demarcus Dobbs, improbably suiting up for his fourth NFC Title Game in four seasons in the league.

Unless I'm mistaken this will be the last time this season in which multiple football games are played on the same day. So even though it's not the college game that's more in our wheelhouse, I invite you to take the time to savor it. We'll be back with a preview and open thread for the AFC title game shortly. Until then. . . who you got in this one?
