Georgia travels tonight to the gym Mark Fox likens to "a trip to the dentist's office" to take on Vanderbilt in an unfamiliar position. Instead of looking to pull a road upset, the Hoop Hounds come in as the favorite who nevertheless really, really need a win. Starting 0-3 in the SEC wouldn't ned the Dawgs' NCAA Tournament hopes, but it darn sure wouldn't help.
This one really worries me because it just seems like a convergence of crappy circumstances have created a perfect crappy storm. Georgia is coming off a hard-fought road loss, is missing key players due to injury, and will be in the gym that's been our own personal version of the flower shop from Little Shop of Horrors.
All of which is to say, I'll believe that Georgia beats Kevin Stallings' team in Memorial Gym when I see it. I hope that's tonight, but I have my doubts.
