It was ugly, it was maddening. I seriously considered calling a psychologist for the team because they seem to collectively had a ridiculous case of multiple personality disorder and ordering up the Dramamine for those of us watching If your stomach didn’t do flips for the last four hours, you were not watching the game.
When time expired, the Classic City Canines outscored the Men In Orange 35-32. It is therefore my honor and my privilege to once again bring to you, the Mark Richt Victory Watch.
Mark Richt has now secured his 129th career win, in only 175 total games as the head man in charge between the hedges. Coach Richt currently boasts a 129-46 record and a .737 winning percentage. At the identical juncture in their careers, Coach Wally Butts was 110-56-8 (.632) following a loss to Buzz’s team in 1954* and Vince Dooley was 116-52-6 (.667) following a 3 point victory (24-21) in Faulkner’s favorite City in 1979**.
As we have mentioned before, Mark Richt remains statistically head and shoulders above his historical coevals at the same point in their respective careers.
Enjoy the rest of your Saturday, don’t fret too much about next weekend’s encounter with the Commodore’s & their Navy. Until later . . .
Go 'Dawgs!!!
*It hurt my heart to type that.
