While we usually reserve open comment threads for days filled with Bulldog athletics or World Cup soccer, it has become tradition around these parts to have a thread devoted to this most patriotic of days. So whether you're grilling with friends, watching fireworks, or planning to legally separate yourself from your neighbors in east Georgia to form the more perfect independent republic of Camakistan, we salute you.
Here's to living in a country where we're free to hate Auburn, Florida, or both, to eat entirely too much barbecue, to prefer the power-I to the West Coast offense, and to use or not use the oxford comma as we so choose. God bless America.
Feel free to talk amongst yourselves about baseball, apple pie, and the exciting new coop program between Auburn and the University of Oklahoma. Also feel free to tell us about your 4th of July plans, what makes you proud to be an American, what you're throwing on the grill and/or barbecue, or anything else that strikes your fancy. I mean, hey, it's a free country.
