You don't have to enjoy the Masters golf tournament. Truly, many people not only don't care about it but greet the coverage from Magnolia Lane with outright disdain. To the nonfan the Masters is a stuffy, fussy parade of privilege at which one poorly timed belch might in fact be grounds for summary execution.
If you're that person, please feel free to avail yourself of the other coverage here at Dawg Sports. The rest of us will be busy cheering on Bulldogs Harris English, Russell Henley, Chris Kirk, and Bubba Watson. And maybe enjoying a pimento cheese sandwich or two while admiring "Tea Olive" and mourning Ike's Tree. And we'll relish every minute of it. Because the season's first major tournament is a viewing spectacle, a harbinger of spring, and a sporting tradition in the Peach State.
Live television coverage begins on ESPN at 3 p.m. Eastern. Until then you can follow along live at Masters.com or CBSSports.com. Feel free to let us know your predictions for the tournament in the comments below.
Until later . . .
